Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph 43 mm Limited Edition - 821 Pieces
$9,100.00
The Montblanc Star Legacy Nicolas Rieussec Chronograph invites you to relive the horse races on Champ-de-Mars in 1821. The dial depicts a 19th century illustration showing four jockeys with their horses on the Champ-de-Mars circuit in Paris, crossing the finish line where Nicolas Rieussec was used to be with his invention of the inking chronograph. A host of golden-coated touches present on the Arabic numerals, hour and minute hands, and chronograph counters perfectly complement the brown-toned dial. A mention in French of the "Académie des Sciences de Paris" and "Chronographe Nicolas Rieussec" is engraved on the flange, as a reminder that the academy validated Rieussec's invention in 1821. The lining of the strap has also been enhanced with a map of Paris from 1821. The brown calf leather strap has been specially designed by Montblanc's Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta who found inspiration in the Maison's writing instrument nibs for its pointed shape. Limited to 821 pieces, the timepiece comes in a 43 mm stainless steel case and is powered by the MB R200 automatic Manufacture monopusher chronograph movement. A graphic Clous de Paris motif, which originates from the geometric design of Paris's cobbled street, adorns the oscillating weight.
